Three routes to buy

Priced on your application volume, not your user count.

Hosting and stack, in plain terms

Admit runs in the browser. There is nothing to deploy, patch or host.

  • UK-hosted

Hosted on AWS in the London region. Data stays in the UK.

  • Browser-based

Staff, partner providers and parents use a modern browser. No client, no VPN, no server.

  • Maintained for you

Hosting, security patching and updates are included. The team that builds Admit does them.

  • Patching

Critical patches go out as soon as they are ready. We normally apply them before the working day, with a short planned outage. An urgent fix can go out during the day.

  • Sign-in

Multi-factor authentication on every account. Parents can sign in with mygovscot.

  • Allocation

Rules-based and deterministic. Admit applies your criteria, and the same applications always give the same result.

Security posture

Admit holds children's records, so security is tested, not asserted.

See security

  • Cyber Essentials certified
  • Independent penetration tests every year since 2023
  • Role-based access, with every action in the audit log
  • A named Data Protection Officer

Data processing and Scots law

Admit is built by a Scottish company, for Scottish councils, under contracts in Scots law.

  • Your data

The council is the data controller. Admit processes the data on your instructions.

  • Residency

Data is stored and processed in the UK.

  • Agreement

A data processing agreement comes with the contract. We will support your DPIA.

Works alongside whichever MIS you use

Admit replaces and extends NAMS. It does not replace SEEMiS, or whatever follows it.

Placements go out as CSV, for any MIS to take in. How data comes in from your systems is agreed during onboarding.

You supply your catchment areas, by API or as GeoJSON. Admit checks each home address against them.

See NAMS replacement

  • MIS-agnostic: no dependency on one supplier
  • Bulk upload of existing children from a spreadsheet
  • CSV exports for your MIS, finance and statutory returns

SLA and support

Support comes from the people who build Admit. No tiers, no chatbot.

See onboarding

  • Service levels

Availability and response targets are set out in the contract. Ask us for the summary.

  • Onboarding

Typically 4 weeks from award to go-live, with training included.

  • Changes

Criteria, eligibility and intakes are configured to your policy. Most changes need no code.

Exit and data export

Your data is yours. You can take it with you.

  • During the contract

Export your records whenever you need them.

  • At the end

A full export of your data, then deletion on the terms in the contract.

Forward this to leadership and finance

They will ask what it costs and what it saves. The business case is one page.
